The story of the artists, rebels, and bohemians who came to New York’s Greenwich Village over many decades, and changed the face of American culture through their art and politics. The film portrays important political and social movements that started in the Village - such as the first interracial jazz club, the earliest Socialist newspapers from before World War I, and the Stonewall rebellion that sparked gay liberation.

From the Vietnam War to the struggle for racial equality to the birth of a counter-culture explosion, the 1960s was a decade of change, experimentation and hope that transformed an entire nation. The two-hour documentary features revealing interviews with the prominent figures of the era including: Barbara Ehrenreich, Daniel Ellsberg, Jesse Jackson, Tom Hayden, Arlo Guthrie, Henry Kissinger, Norman Mailer, Robert McNamara, Ed Meese III and Bobby Seale. Also released as a one-hour documentary called "1968: The Year that Shaped a Generation."

How to save the village? How to keep people in it? How to manage the land adjacent to large construction sites? The last inhabitants of the village are trying to solve these problems.

Villagers of Savarkhed are living in fear as strange things are happening everyday. The old and the young clash based on their beliefs and experiences. Those dismissive of the superstitions, struggle to come up with a logical explanation. A few friends come together to find a solution.
